I got a feeling it's probably one of the worst picture from 'black history'. Judging from the text referring to her role as Ranpha in Galaxy Angel and saying she want to do moe character roles, that probably mean those pictures are from her rookie days before she even became an idol-seiyuu.
I've seen videos of her recent live concert DVD, and she don't look too bad. But of course, having professional make-up artist doing the make-up for you or not can make a huge difference. Hell, even Aya Hirano look aweful on her own TV show comparing to when she's in concert or other TV programs.

most seiyuu don't look that good so it's alright. it's the voice that counts in the end, but to really make it big looks definitely count. just look at nana mizuki and the fallen aya hirano, they are pretty attractive you must admit.
Hmmm... Aya Hirano isn't exactly attractive for my tastes. Rie Tanaka on the other hand is a real beauty. Nana Mizuki is one too... With an awesome singing voice to boot.
