When's the last time you tried to snap a CD, sometimes they shatter and other times they just bend and crease which leads to much folding and refolding until it finally gives. It really depends on the quality of the disc.
On a side note; Has anybody else seen those new EcoDiscs that are like 1/2 a Millimeter thick? That's some crazy shit there, I'd be afraid of putting one in my CD drive for fear of it shattering from the speed alone.

I don't snap CDs. Instead I put them in the microwave for about five seconds. It's entertaining, fascinating to watch, and most definitely destroys them.

In japan, it would seem that no matter what your SOMEONE's possession. Either your agent/handler, production company, or the fans. To tell the truth, I'm not so sure why she chose tv persona over her VA work. She won't be pretty forever, but her voice would have been good for a good long while.
It seems more likely whoever she's dating (the guy that's supposedly 10 years her senior), pushed her into this direction so they don't have to hide their relationship anymore. Most likely he makes enough that even if her career becomes dirt, she'd be well taken care of.
There is a way bigger need for older actresses than older voice actresses. Aya's (in)famous now, so I guess she'll get casted a lot. Once that is over her life will be a more normal one, without weird stalkers following every aspect of her daily activities.
