I don't see what's wrong with a woman admitting her sexuality, and props to her changing her fan base to a more mature one.

It depends on the meaning of "dated several ... at once". If she was just having sex with them only that's one thing but if she was making a romantic relationship with several that's another thing. But making a romantic overtures with one or two but having sex with others on the side...

most women are intimate with several men at once, before settling down to one she really likes. It's just normal selection process. After all, men will never show his actual behavior unless he feels comfortable enough with the girl to just be himself. It's a bit like lions and other mammals. Who the hell makes the connection of "dating several" and "sleeping with several" logically? Many women date multiple men, and vice versa. You go on dates with people to see if you're compatible -- it's once you settle down in a relationship does it become morally objectable.

Even still, the extremely small number of men a woman has to sleep with to be considered a 'slut' is pretty sad.

I agree with the above poster above about the diff between dating and sleeping and I suppose thats where the real argument lies.

However to get back to Hirano herself, she never really mentioned seeing all these guys she liked "at the same time". I have no idea how someone got that interpretation. She's lived for 22 years, it's going to accumulate progressively not all at once.

I feel pretty confident that Aya is a good enough girl from the interviews I've read and from the clips I've watched. And japanese people have in general a better morale than many wastern countries...

..but my point is in the western world, when celebrities do certain things and fulfill some character traits, like sleeping with several people at once, they often pull bigger stunts as they get older. The media gets to their heads and they live in a distorted reality. They showing up drunk at a photo shoots, perhaps. Gets speeding tickets, drunk driving tickets, and dont show up to their court meetings. Things like these add up, how much crap would you take from her before you said enough is enough?? Private life does matter at some point.
