Aya Hirano Mocked on TV – “She’s a Bit of an Idiot”

TV personalities are generally douchebags, even over here.

Having watched a bunch of these shows while I was over in Japan, I'm not surprised at their hateful comments towards Aya. But, I am disgusted.

By watching her sad expression on her cute face it makes me think is not that bad. Poor chick. Don't make her cry.

...and yet she survived.

One point for her.

I'm not a fan of hers, but her upset, tearly face is not something I can watch with pleasure. Humiliation is something horrible.

Well, if this is her new career, I hope she -at least- earn some bucks in retribution of being exposed in such way...

She wanted to be on TV that's what happens.

Even if her voice sometimes anoys me. But she's still cute, making her cry is just sad.

Whoa, some people here seem to be taking the headline and photos way out of context.

First, the "chotto baka" statement is no doubt made in good spirit and jest, the fact that Aya laughs it off, albeit embarrassingly, is evident of that.

Second, that statement did not make her cry. As captioned by Arte, those photos of her crying came from another unrelated dialogue. Probably reminiscing about her past or something like that which might bring back some tears as is usual in chat shows.

Lolz if he was being poked by taka-san from Utaban it could be worse

assholes they made her cry! let them rot in hell of or bettter yet in a few years nobody will remeber them unlike Aya who will always be.

I am fond of her voice acting. I was never fond of her as a person though. Yet it still makes me a little upset how the media can purposefully harm a person's feelings on live TV.

It's not her fault no one did their job and give her a heads up on what should have been a minor mistake no one should've known about.

This is horrible, they evidently don't care about people's feelings. Poor Aya, even if she decides never to work as a seiyuu again (let's make it clear, I really like her voice acting) I wish her luck in her career and personal life.

Just love all the idiotic comments about how the other people on the show made Aya cry. Not one of you fools actually seen the show.

The part about her bikini incident was on for less than a minute midway thru the program - was done and over with no after effects. The tears came near the end after they did a segment about a young mother being killed by a stalker as she got her kids out of the house. Every female on the show was crying at the end of the segment.

Man Japanese TV looks really scary. They will rip you to pieces until the commercial break, then resume until the show finishes.It's apparently fun to destroy the guest which you invited with the intention of harming their personal and psychological confidence.

I bet after breaking her, they started making moves on her like a bad Eroge.

I really wish her the best, and hope that she goes back to being Seiyuu after this to show those guys she can be successful somewhere, which proves she's not an idiot.
