A ranking of the most prolific seiyuu of 2010 in terms of raw appearances sees the crown snatched yet again by none other than Rie Kugimiya.
The annual ranking, calculated by seiyuu fans and based on number of appearances – this explains why it incorporates a lot of ties:
1. 134 – Rie Kugimiya
2. 125 – Miyuki Sawashiro / 125 – Keiji Fujiwara
3. 116 – Yuuichi Nakamura
4. 107 – Yuuko Sanpei
5. 105 – Fumiko Orikasa
6. 104 – Ayumi Fujiwara
7. 103 – Ayako Kawasumi / 103 – Aya Hirano
8. 102 – Ayana Taketatsu / 102 – Kei Shindou
9. 100 – Nobuhiko Okamoto / 100 – Daisuke Ono / 100 – Aoi Yuuki
10. 99 – Takahiro Sakurai / 99 – Kana Hanazawa
Kugimiya happened to be first in 2009 as well. Aya Hirano was 27th.
Of course, as raw numbers of appearances are being considered, a series of regular minor roles would project a seiyuu to the top, whilst a few choice leads would seem them languish at the bottom.

She hasn't made much appearance this year unlike previous years.
Kana Hanazawa, Miyuki Sawashiro, Aki Toyosaki and Yoki Hikasa voiced more characters this year.

Yes, being the Tsundere queen for Rie Kugimiya is an honor indeed.
But I think in the long run, she won't have talent growth.. Because all the characters she will give voices will sound EXACTLY THE SAME, all SHANA.
The same goes for Aya Hirano, much of the characters she voiced sounded like Haruhi.. that's why it was a big surprise for me when she actually did Lumiere and Konata.

You only noticed it was Kugi when she was playing short flat and peeved. Hint: she was also in both FMAs, Fairy Tail, Rosario + Vampire, and loads of other stuff, voicing characters of various genders (and no gender ones) and personalities.

Fujimura most recent roles were both lead roles - Misaki in Kaichou wa Maid-sama and Mafuyu in Seikon no Qwaser.
I'm surprised Toyosaki Aki isn't on the list. Then I noticed the ranking is based on "number of appearances", meaning seiyuus with plenty of bit-part roles may be ranked higher than those with fewer lead roles that might be more prominent.
I may be making a mistake, but didn't she also voice Mineva Lao Zabi in Gundam Unicorn?
Fujimura has always been awesome imo eversince she voiced Kyouka in Kyouran Kazoku Nikki (regardless how that show frequently gave me goosebumps). Her voice has a slight Kugimiya atmosphere in it :3
You are spot on! If you ask Japanese with slightest interest in anime, they say Toyosaki Aki and Mizuki Nana every time.

No matter what show she is in, she alway says baka at least twice in every episode.
And that can become very annoying.
Only tsundere roles, which other seiyuu with similar roles do anyway. Alphonse Elric(one of her characters) with the same routine is just wrong.
And don't forget her role as Kujikawa Rise from Persona 4, she was fantastic even though it wasn't a tsundere role.
Too bad the Queen almost made me shoot myself when I heard her voice sounding similar to a squealing high pitched baby in Persona 4, along with the fact that she, like Fuuka, won't shut up. One of those rare times I prefer the English version better...for only that one role, though.
