And perspective class should be mandatory for background artists as well. Take a random screenshot from Ever17 and more often than not something just doesn't look right. And what about the ‘Escher scene’ from Hanabira?
I think that in many cases even the artists know it doesn't look right, but they've tried and failed to fix it and they just don't know what to do about it so they ship, hoping the player will miss it or forgive the artist. Of course, that doesn't really explain the six fingered girl.
