K-ON! Otaku Threaten to Behead Yamakan

After publicly mocking K-ON! and defacing one of its cast, Yamakan has been the target of otaku death threats.
After plucking the head off of Ui, 2ch’s legion of creepy K-ON! fans was in uproar, with one fan going so far as to threaten the Haruhi producer with death: “I’ll cut off Yamakan’s head to punish him for the grievous crime of insulting K-ON!”
He was subsequently reported to police and faces probable arrest unless savvy enough to have employed an anonymous proxy.
As if this fracas were not enough, at the same event Yamakan apparently also went on to insult seiyuu Kana Hanazawa upon seeing her video, saying “her face is huge” amongst other unfriendly remarks.
With the atmosphere at the event thickening fast he then proceeded to tangle with the CEO of Good Smile Company, who light-heartedly remarked “that was an amusing teen movie” – Yamakan ignored him completely and then left the event.
Many have remarked that it appears Yamakan’s real talent is not for anime direction but instead for annoying people.

K-ON FAGS SURE ARE MAD AND BUTTHURT
I am wondering if Mr. Yamakan can put his money where his mouth is and produce something better than K-On, rather than just aimlessly insulting people. Maybe he has in fact lost the plot.

To be honest, I think the man could have probably known that making such rude insults might result in death threats. It seems like a likely reaction after seeing what otaku are otherwise up to. I'm not trying to justify what the K-On! otaku are doing though.

As previously noted by some above, Yamakan is obviously trolling the more sensitive seiyuu stalkers on his "insult" on Hanazawa.
Why would he bother to burn bridges with a seiyuu who has a close working relationship with him, having appeared in both series he has directed (Kannagi and Black Rock Shooter)? Especially if he wants to prove to Kyo-Ani that sacking him was a wrong decision, he would do best to build up more relationships with people in the industry, not alienate himself from it.
Not trying to defend Yamakan, as some of his bitterness with Kyo-Ani does sound like sour grapes, but criticism where criticism's due folks.
For the record, I absolutely adore Kana-chan's cute voice. She's the reason I even bothered to have a look at BRS. And no, personally I hardly find that comment an "insult".
It's hard to take something like this as a simple 'troll' when he does this kind crap so often. He not only criticizes other directors and creators in the industry, but he also attacks all different types of fans and otaku. His latest targets have been fans of high quality animation in anime (from an interview published online just days after his incident took place).
I wouldn't mind so much if he could actually back up all his criticism of others with his own work, but he simply hasn't. His best work was with kyoani and he has yet to prove he can be consistently successful without them (Kannagi being his only hit so far, but even it was a relatively modest one compared to anything he did at kyoani).
Really, he just needs to keep his thoughts to himself and prove that he is as skilled as he seems to think he is. Then he can feel free to say whatever he wants.
Black Rock Shooter I remember Artafact mention in 2ch some Otaku posted on 2ch saying it was rubbish when it first came out.I didn't really have an issue with this anime it wasn't the best animation but I enjoy watching it.
After what he has done disrespecting people I am going to watch an Episode of K-On!! because I never watched the show I might as well watch if I like it or not.
