In a move unlikely to surprise many given its handling of “Xbox 360 exclusive” Tales of Vesperia, Namco has announced a perfect edition of Tales of Graces on the PS3.

The port promises new story, ougi, and character costumes, and is widely expected to follow the example of Vesperia in introducing all new characters. The elimination of the vast array of bugs which plagued the original can also be expected.

A winter 2010 release is scheduled.

In addition a new PS3 Tales title has been announced, although details are completely lacking, and a 2011 release of PSP crossover Tales title Tales of the World: Radiant Anthology 3 is confirmed.

At this point it seems Wii owners will be sympathising with Xbox 360 owners, having themselves also been granted the honour of being able to buy the chance to beta test the latest Tales game for PS3 owners.

Fuck Namco and their business practices, they're not gonna get another cent from me! Their fiscal-year lost is totally well deserved.

Same shit once again with another game? Return your uncomplete beta for a refund.

Well, M$ asked for it with the one year exclusive rule.

Why are people excited to pay full price for a game that is only slightly better than a game that is a year old now. Other gamers have moved on with their lives while you are excited to play a game that they traded in long ago.

Do they refund in those cases? No more Namco for me until they stop doing this.

Because I didn't buy it and want the PS3 version. Either way, I like spending more time in worlds I enjoy rather than less, and it's not the designers who are the assholes doing shady business practices, it's the business end. The creators would go to hell and back with their designs if they had the chance. I know, because my team does the same.

I have all 3 systems, but I want to play the PS3 version of TOV so badly...Just for a certain loli-pirate's pantsu exposure during battles...

And TOG too when it comes out on the PS3...

I would happily buy a PS3 if they would release both TOV and TOG in English...

don't know why they are throwing their money away on another psp tales of the world. they could spend that money on localizing the better games that actually have a story.

Well this completely turned me off from purchasing any future titles from Namco Bandai. This practice is certainly demeaning to those who were fully intending to support their products, but to make people pay full price only to beta test, then Namco Bandai can go ahead and screw themselves in the ass. Sooner or later they'll do this same crap on a PS3 console "exclusive" game.

According to their profit margins, it does move for us American children and definitely doesn't move for the Japanese market at this point.

You mean how Vesperia did horrible in the U.S. Market and the PS3 version did well in Japan? It's quite obvious why Namco Bandai doesn't want to localize it here, cause it does horrible and low budget or high budget JRPG(s) do horrible here, especially when it's Anime/Cartoony.

Well, it came out only on the 360here, which despite Microsoft's best efforts at solving with money, is the console JRPG players use the least. Considering they already localized Vesperia for the 360 release, it would be minimally expensive for them to release the PS3 version, so it makes especially little sense to me.

If they are doing this, I hope they come out with the PS3 version in the US too. I have both a 360 and a PS3 but refused to buy Vesperia when they kept the PS3 version out of the US.

Yeah they have only themselves to blame for the poor sales. The 360 is not exactly the JRPG players' console.

I stopped taking you seriously right there. Vesperia did wonder on the 360 in the US compared to the slough 360 games have in Japan.

There is such a thing as Region Locks. You know I can't play your Japanese games on my (insert Region) Console. Even if I speak fluent Japanese?

Some of us would rather not resort to Console Hacking or Pirating.

And this is what I meant by children, they can't feed you with the palm of their hand every single time. If you want something done right, you gotta go out there and do it yourself instead of waiting at home all day whining and crying.

It's true they could've released a localized version of Vesperia PS3 here with minimal effort but they didn't. I'm sure it would have done well and I'm not saying they shouldn't localize ANY Tales games, I'm just saying if you REALLY wanted to play something, instead of crying, you could be be learning Japanese if you're desperate enough to whine about it and dish out the extra cash.

You are crying about people crying so whats the point hypocrite. They whine because they want a game, you whine because they whine, I whine because you whine that they whine.

it may be a shit move on the fans, but it would at least let you have the same content

You kinda really need both the 360 and PS3 to get the most out of the current lineups.

Once you get past the bias, you'll find its to your advantage to play/own both.
