The latest antics of otaku besotted with Nene yield such classics as a suitor sleeping on the floor whilst turning his bed over to Nene, and pledging his undying loyalty to her in a Shinto rite.

Theory - Love Plus otaku are so ordinary and boring they have to use actors for "factual" interviews to promote the buffoonish stereotype.
I agree. It seems odd that the same guy or types of guy gets interviewed, I say he's a plant / actor. It's WAY too convenient.
I've worked in show business and they have people cast as stereotypes and then have them overact/exaggerate to get viewers.
A lot of "reality" TV is totally staged/fake. I was part of a "random background audience" for this reality TV thing for the Oprah Winfrey network and we did so many "spontaneous" takes that it took HOURS.

the media doesn't want to interview other people because they probably don't live up to the stereotype that the Japanese people have for otaku.

Chances are 99% of interviewing the same creepy otaku if he is the brother of one of the reporters or their camera crews. Easy access, and easy to talk into.
