Massively multiplayer rat-bashing grind Final Fantasy XIV will not be appearing on the Xbox 360 “because Microsoft doesn’t want it,” says Square Enix.
Producer Hiromichi Tanaka reportedly explained that although Microsoft allowed the preceding Final Fantasy XI to be launched on the infant Xbox Live service, it wanted nothing to do with Square Enix over the release of Final Fantasy XIV.
The previous month he claimed the reason there would be no Xbox 360 version was because Xbox Live was too “closed” – it appears keeping a story straight is not amongst his strongpoints, for in the same month he also claimed the PC and PS3 versions would be nearly identical, only to announce a delay shortly after based on difficulty getting the PS3 port working satisfactorily.
MS was right. It turned out they were right as FFIV sucks!!!!!! FF14 sucks, MS knew it and said they didn’t want that peice of trash. Look at all the MS haters who were proven wrong! FF14 is hot garbage and everyone knows it. It has lower scores then crappy f2p games!
Microsoft didn’t want it because it’s not another COD. If Square Enix makes a FPS, Microsoft will be the first one knocking at their door.
They just fired FF's fathers and since that moment (2003-2004), they have made games even FPS addicts like (no story, no character, only empty gameplay). A scenarist has been said by Squix for FFXII not to write so much about characters because "players don't mind about empty characters and it makes more work, there is no time for this, CG are more importants"… BULLSHIT!!!
Yeah because they got Bioware to make their own RPG.
To me I thought having FF XI on 360 was terrible, Because paying to play online 360 makes you pay is stupid. Im paying for internet provider and the game fee, why should I pay for playing online on a console. That said, glad 360 not getting it. Someone said MS probably wanted more of the monthly fee. That is probably true. Reason Wow had more subscriptions then FF XI is because more little kiddies could lvl fast, grind faster and get to top lvl and act like he knows everything faster. Where in FF XI it was slower, and you learned how to play your character better then wow. On where wow, once you got to lvl 80, you only used 2 or 3 spells in a raid, and never used the simple spells in the early stages of your character. But in FFXI you used skills from that you first learn, because of skill chains. So you just don’t spam skills like you do in wow, which was turned off more to kiddies, which more mature people played FFXI and you hardly get the winning people and so on.
