A survey of Japanese women provides an interesting snapshot of what their favourite anime of 2010 spring were, and what they are looking forward to in the summer 2010 season. Some rather surprising choices make their way into the rankings…
The best of the spring 2010 season, based on a survey of 2,285 Japanese female anime fans:
1. Hakuouki
2. K-ON!!
3. Arakawa Under The Bridge
4. Ookiku Furikabutte
5. Hetalia Axis Powers
6. Kaichou wa Meido-sama!
7. Angel Beats!
8. Working!!
9. Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru
10. Keroro Gunsou (7th season)
The high placing of K-ON!! is perhaps something of a surprise – moeblobbery evidently knows no gender bounds.
The most awaited anime of summer 2010:
1. Nurarihyon no Mago
2. Kuroshituji II
3. Sengoku Basara 2
4. Shiki
5. Digimon Xros Wars
6. Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi
7. MonHun Nikki Poka Poka Airu Mura
8. Tono to Issho
9. Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~
10. Seitokai Yakuindomo
The presence of second tier oppai anime Sekirei on this list is something of a mystery…
A similar ranking supplied by Dengeki readers, presumably mostly male, may be interesting to compare against.
yay~! Hakuouki was number #1
Arakawa was a giver, but K-ON!! surprised me because I thought it’s be all moe-moe for the guys
The only good Hakuoki episode was the funsub of the first episode.
Too bad they took it off.
Tried watching the actual show but it made me sleepy.
Go to the toilet, sit on the throne and watch it again. Will not bore you:)
I’m a girl and I adore K-ON so much. It’s my favorite anime and I have about 10 figures on my desk of them
i’m straight, but the moeblobbery is too much
I’m impressed , no HOTD ! BAD TOP !
HOTD sucks. There’s no plot whatsoever.
i guess japanese women doesn´t like pantsu and zombies…..
How in the (digi)world is that Digimon series name pronounced?
