    Picky otaku are picky... the animation is nowhere near as bad as last week's Shippuuden. I for one Highly enjoyed it. While I'm not entirely sure if this is an original concept for an anime, it's the first time I've seen zombie-anime action of this level. I love anime and I love zombie movies so this is pretty much a winning combo for me.

    Madhouse has done some very, very good work on animation before (Aoi Bungaku and Shigurui for example), so I can't understand what anon01:49 is blabbering on about.

    If this one is indeed badly animated it is definitely a drop in quality rather than the expected.

    I personally can't understand those "other" anime fans, the past year or two of anime has finally got me watching, and not just for the awesome sexiness.

    This anime looks like win. QB, Juudenchan, Quaser, Sekirei, etc have just been awesome for my particular tastebuds.

    If you're just looking for awesome entertainment from your anime, and not even have to remove your brain for it, this is the time to be alive. I'd take this entertainment any day over Micheal Bay stuff.

    Anime CAN be entertainment too, right? Not just "art" and action and convoluted and/or long-ass storylines?

    I don't know, I guess personally, I've always just been a fan of Go Nagai, not Miyazaki and the like. This all stems from what he started, if you ask me. And if you're a real anime fan and don't consider Go Nagai legendary... lol

    I've read the manga and it's safe to say it has a hell of a lot of fan service...Not that I'm complaining as long as I see some schoolgirl armpits~

    I hope none of those hot anime girls get bitten and turned into zombies...

    The last thing we need is titties falling apart and their pantsus smelling like rotten fish with a side of thick, yellowy bodily pus dribbling out of their legs as zombie p*ssy juice...

    A Zombie Apocalypse is worse than an Alien, Robot, or Nuclear Apocalypse...

    Alien = Annihilation/Assimilation/Enslavement/Tentacle Rape...

    Robot = Annihilation/Enslavement/Awkward Time Paradox...

    Nuclear = Fight for Survival/Thunder Dome...

    Zombies = Rotten tits and cunts/Undead lolis/Black Guy dies at the end...

    I actually hope they leave a lot of it out. Because it's only 12 episodes and there is A LOT of it in the manga. If they can do it cleverly like Najica Blitz Tactics than I all for it. Doesn't slow down any plot advancement and it ever-present.

    Yeah i'm rather concerned how they are going to space out the episodes according to chapters. Theres a solid manga plot that really can't be skipped, so they can't ignore parts of it. I guess i'll have to wait and see.

    Madhouse doesn't do fanservice shows too much since they usually do hyperviolent shows (RAINBOW, Shigurui, etc) or arthouse projects (Tatami Galaxy, Kaiba, Casshern SINS), but when they do fanservice anime, they do them great justice like Needless and this show.

    Madhouse never holds back with their anime. I love that studio.

    While the zombie concept is not new and the normal anime concepts are not new the combination of them IS. It is refreshing to finally see an anime which successfully portrays a zombie apocalypse setting.

    Haters gonna hate though I guess, I'm loving it so far. They adapted the manga far better than I expected even though it is Madhouse. I also fail to understand people bitching about the animation quality. It's a nice style with decent animation. Comparing it to Naruto is an insult to every animator that worked on it.
