China is fast catching up to Japan in more ways than one – some 300,000 Chinese are thought to kill themselves annually, a quarter of the global total, now being at or over those of suicide-loving Japan at an estimated 23 per 100,000 annually.
In fact, just as city skylines are soaring, so are suicide rates, and it is from these very buildings that many are choosing to cast themselves, so much so that Chinese emergency services sadly seem to be becoming very well equipped to deal with them…
The drama ensuing from these acts of urban theatre has become a staple of the Chinese media, but voices of sympathy are beginning to give way to voices of criticism at these self-indulgent “highjackings” of the public for acts of personal drama.

Actually I know someone who has to respond to a bathtub suicide, the smell of blood is absolutely revolting.
Just do a monoxide or pill cocktail overdose, be sure to notify someone in a delayed manner so you don't end up rotting in bed/car.

it isn't always that easy to kill yourself. we have this innate desire in us to live. it is an extremely powerful feeling and many people have, even though they really want to die, when they look into the barrel of the gun they panic and chicken out. which is one of the reasons you get a lot of 'failed' suicide attempts. not all of them are attention seekers.
i don't understand how this stereotype has gotten so much momentum, to many people don't understand it i guess.

People with no actual intention of killing themselves are just emo attention grabbers. If they really wanted to commit suicide they would have done it in a less populated area or some other way.
This is China we're talking about. Most likely they lack the money to move to less populated places. And standing up above for real can be really scary, even if you want to end it all. And if your wasting a few minutes in this situation, you get the attention you didn't really wanted.
