The 2nd of July is K-ON! princess Tsumugi Kotobuki‘s birthday, and naturally moeblob otaku have been celebrating the event with the sort of lavish celebration no mere flesh and blood female can command.
Their antics are documented below:
The official site was not immune to all this:
A celebratory wallpaper was also provided:
The hilarious thing is how cheap all this junk is. I see nothing in these pictures the would have cost over 5000 yen, usually more like 500, if not less. “Lavish”, then, seems a little strong.
“It’s my 2D girlfriend’s birthday, so I bought her a 100 yen packet of noodles from Daiso” – too pathetic for words.
Am I the only one that finds celebrating an anime character in such a manner to be disturbing?
Mugi is my favourite too! But a Mugi-chan Birthday Giftset??? Such a thing exists in Japan??? *moves to Japan*
