Yet another anime adaptation of canned oppai manga To Love-Ru has apparently been announced, much to the delight of the show’s surprisingly persistent fans.
However, the announcement declines to elaborate on just what form the new title will take – an OVA or possibly even TV adaptation seem the only viable options at this stage.

Let there be boobs.
Yes, definitely!
Also, keep in mind that the manga got canceled for "lack of fresh storyline." Since today's anime has no need for a storyline, it seems that it would be the perfect time for To Love-Ru.
thats why one of my favorite manga got canceled? FUCK
i wanted to see where they were going with that plant baby thing at the very least before it got canned. those mother fuckers.
and how can they say its not original enough? if they look at any fighting manga in jump, they all rip off each other, at least to love was un contested while there are what 5-10 fighting manga that are all the same damn thing
There was actually some problems in the mangakas life. He had a cheating wife and other stuff. Wife kidnapped daughter. Basically in a nutshell, his wife screwed him over and he loves his daughter. He rushed it to an end
i can forgive that, but it still had a rather satisfying end, if not a rushed one.
wish i could have seen it play out a bit more before the rush though.
To Love-Ru had one of the most stale storylines ever. How he he not make a decision for 100+ chapters?! Even Ichigo 100% had the main character make a decision at the end. I really wanted for there to be a definite ending, but i guess the author know there's more money to be made by having a non-ending and then pumping out tons of merch and spin offs.
Yeah. And the fact that, you know, it had to be stopped because of RL issues with a wife and not anything to do with the work. Yeah.
In other words, canned by demon bitch, child stealing, royalties stealing ex-wife...
it had a true harem ending.
monogamy is over rated.
i mean what are the odds that you will ever find the one person that satisfies every one of your needs, in a relation ship or in sex?
i thought it was because of this:
- There is this person called Nakamura Ine who is quite famous on the Nico Nico website (a large Japanese online community somewhat like Youtube), who turned out to be a minor (last year in high school) and also insinuated that he has something going on with a Kashiwagi Shiho.
- Now this Shiho was the wife of Yabuki Kentaro, the author of To-Love-Ru. She met Yabuki when he was looking for assistants, seduced him and ended up becoming his wife and gave birth to a daughter.
- But she hardly did any house work, neglected her daughter, and spent most of her days in front of a computer spending time in Nico Nico etc.
- January 2009, when Yabuki was sick with flu and bedridden, she kidnapped her own daughter and disappeared, and it turned out that she left her daughter at her parents' place while she was doing this and that with Ine.
- February 2009, Yabuki 'begged' Shiho to return for the sake of their daughter, and Shiho did return to Tokyo, but few days later she dropped out once again with the girl, this time taking a notebook computer and Yabuki's credit cards. Yabuki later stopped the cards, but a large sum of money was already taken out.
- Yabuki looked for them everywhere, but to no avail. March 2009, Shiho demanded a divorce on the grounds of personality clash and a large chunk of Yabuki's assets, but when the evidence of her infidelity was discovered on her computer, she then changed her stance and demanded money in exchange for the custody right of the daughter.
- Realizing it would take over a year to settle things, Yabuki accepted her conditions and got the daughter back.
- Haruna Sairenji was based on Kashiwagi Shiho, and there is a reason why her role was reduced dramatically since volume 13, and Yui getting more prominent. And apparently Shiho has sued/demanded more money for the character of Haruna recently.
- A comment of Yabuki's while this was all happening:
[While I was working hard on a manga that was focused on taking young girls' panties off, another man was taking my wife's panties off.]
- I forgot to mention that following the dispute over Haruna's character right, Yabuki feared his daughter getting hurt by all the debacle, so he accepted Shiho's demand yet again and ended the series prematurely.
ok i said i could understand above, but this cunt needs to die.
Actually, i believe the manga was discontinued because the author had a dispute with his wife. taken from another site:

No, it didn't. It got canceled because his ex wife made legal threats against him and the publisher after kidnapping and ransoming their daughter back to him. Several times.
The main love interest in TLRu was based on his wife. When she turned out to be a manipulative psychopath, well.
There's a reason he got another manga series (MNO) AND said manga series was almost immediately animated -- they had to dump the To Love Ru IP to keep psychobitch from going after them. She was demanding the rights to the manga and ALL profit from all the merchandise, sales, ads, everything.
yes def you are a nub, thats the reason to the manga of this shitt have that final, because turn bored and 0 ideas.
Bah really working!!, ichiban ushirou, B gata H kei, ikkitousen and other animes have more echii and story to toloveru, but the tards prefer stupids things to this.
@Jeen
Let there be imouto boobs...
Fixed~
Oh, and maybe some incest...
The only boob anime I ever actually enjoyed.
So I approve!.
I second the argument and the motion!
Let there be Mikan.
I rarely type the following but I feel obligated:
Pic fukken saved.
pic pure win
More Mikan + Yami. Less Lala.
MOAR Yui!
And no .. not the one from K-On!
I just realized that I have absolutely no interest in most anime that were ever mentioned on sankon. Damn, and here I thought I liked anime more than random news about crazy stuff from everywhere.
This place is full of sick stuff man, enjoy them.
And now i realized, that To Love-ru is funny as hell, at least the first episode.
I knew this would happen...
season 2 or a complete remake?
There was a season 2 as anime count 12 eps or so as a season.
no it depends on the original run.
in America they split anime in 2 and say when the title switches its a second season.
in japan if it isn't a long running anime they dont make season differences, BUT they get split into different "seasons" for box set releases.
Since the manga is no longer going due to author troubles I wonder if they are going to attempt a stand alone series?
Well, its not like each chapter/episode had a solid plot.
And the ending has a nice cliffhanger to continue from easily.
If they end up as stand alone, I'd still be a very happy man.
That's better then nothing.
Another series of pantsu and oppai delight but also means we will be seeing more of that gayturd dickless male protagonist (doesn't bother to remember the fags name).
All right, the only fanservice-focused anime I can actually stand watching more than once is getting more. Let's hope there's more actual off the wall entertaining stuff and less context free fanservice. I like panty shots more than the next guy, but the third OVA was a waste--if I want to see toplessness and girls feeling each other up, I'll just watch porn where they go farther.
And I rejoice once again
YES!! MORE YAMI XD
More yummy Yami is always welcome...
Seriously needs more Yamikan as well as the Deviluke loli sisters...
Hmm, the 2nd image looks a bit like Tony's artwork..
oppa oppa oppai pai :)
Hm... I like a lot of ecchi Anime series, but I personally found To Love Ru to be disappointing. Some of the comedy was a little too dumb and over the top for me and the male lead was the kind that rubbed me the wrong way.
The only thing good about the series, in my opinion, is Yami/Golden Darkness. Later on, I found out the reason as to why she stood out so much and why I liked her found her so appealing. She was Eve, from a completely different series, Black Cat, which I found very entertaining.
I can only hope it won't be as dreadfully boring as the first.
Oh my fucking god I'm so happy, I want more of my WAIFU YAMI-SAMA!!!! I NEEDS YOUUUU!!!!!!!! T-T
yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more to love ru!!!!!! i love this anime myself lol ^^ more lala love lala lala lala lala lol ^^ oh and golden darkness ^^ yay this is going to be fun ^3^
Don't care, the manga ended in a horrible way
let there be a retelling, ala full metal alchemist! The problem with the original series is that they didn't follow the manga!! if they did that, it would have been epic!!
so,
1. hope its a new series
2. hope its a remake ( i usually hate remakes, but the original Sucked!)
3. let there be nudity!!
4. ... Mikan... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm hottest loli sister ever!
Yay. More Mikan!
GWISE FWOM YOUW GWAVE...
Took you a while but i appreciate tits, i mean "it", appreciate tits, ugh! "Appreciate... ti..." dammit!
But in all seriousness, lets hope for To-Love-Ru Manga to continue, because seeing those cameo in Mayoi Neko Overrun is just making me think the illustrator misses To-Love-Ru, also... the manga art look way better.
I'll watch this if the pilot episode features Mikan getting fucked. Otherwise pass.
I... I like Saki Tenjouin. A lot.
A Yui is fine too, and Yami is always welcome as well, but somehow... I prefer the rich bitch and her posse over them. Go figure.
The anime was absolutely terrible. I'd much rather have Kentarou Yabuki continue the manga.
He draws such pretty girls.
I liked the anime for the bounce but..yeah. Agreed. I would kill to see more manga
