A group of schoolchildren face possible child pornography charges after their leader tied a 12-year-old girl they were bullying to a chair and stripped her naked, making videos of the event which she then sent to her friends.

The incident began when a 12-year-old Gifu prefecture girl was lured to the home of another girl with the promise of study, however once there she was instead taught the finer points of schoolgirl bondage, being tied to a chair and then stripped of her clothing.

The girl was subsequently videoed in this state, and her captor mailed off her videos to the other bullies and her friends, more than 10 people in all.

5 other incidents were also reported, including one where 4 girls and a boy called the girl to a supermarket car park and stripped her of her pantsu. The other incidents apparently also involved similar antics.

The school principal furnishes the usual platitudes: “We were unable to prevent this most regrettable affair. The videos have all been deleted,” and “This sort of thing is most unfortunate. We will take steps to ensure it does not happen again.”

The children and their parents have also made the usual grovelling apologies to the girl and her family, as is the custom in Japan.

However, the girl’s mother remains outraged at the abuse her daughter suffered – “This is unforgivable. I want the bullies responsible for this to be held to legal account for their actions.”

She had her daughter report the incident to police, who are apparently intent on pursuing child pornography charges against the children – recent incidents seem to indicate Japanese police are as enthusiastic about abusing child pornography laws as police elsewhere are.

As 4 of the suspects were aged 13, they fall beneath the Japanese age of criminal liability, which is 14, and so are liable to receive juvenile rather than criminal charges.
