It's a good game. The original songs are a bit easy (I got a Great on everything in one night) but the good part is you can copy across any and all edits that work with the PSP game as well.
Can we play Dreamy Theater without the UMD ??

Miku in sukumizu, I thought sony doesn't support eroge. It's probably the highest difficulty level, cause who can concentrate on pressing some buttons when you have Miku in sukumizu in front of you :)

The shiny one isn't Neru (note the twintails), it's Miku wearing the PSP Champagne Gold outfit you get for Great-ing every song on Hard in the PSP version.
u doesnt need the game. u juz need the saved data of project diva which u can download. and u can buy 3000yen psn card from ebay.
thats not true. i got dreamy theater, and i tried without disc and only save data, and it wouldn't let me play, so i put in project diva in psp and it then let me play. its just a brief authorisation phase and psp can be disconnected after. dreamy theater is truely a great game and even has trophies! it supports in game xmb screenshot capture! dlc with new costumes, including 18 new songs come out july first but cost another ¥3000... also in order to view in pv mode, u need to accomplish it in psp version 1st. if u want, here is 100% complete data: http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/psp/save/hatsune_miku_project_di_jp_a.zip

I tried it again just now without the Project Diva UMD in the PSP. It loaded just fine without any errors. At no point has the Dreamy Theatre software attempted to load the Project Diva UMD. Each time I start the game on the PS3 I do still have to connect the PSP running the Dreamy Theatre software.
I'll make a YouTube video of it this afternoon and comment back here again.
Nope, you need the game.
You need the PSP for every bootup (when you buy Dreamy Theater you get an extra application that you need to run on it, then you need to connect the two with a USB cable) but you don't need the UMD at all, just a save file.
Once the game starts you can turn off the PSP.
Is this correct? Do you even need a PSP at all?
I rather wanted it but no way is it worth buying Diva and a PSP for.
I loaded the game fine just now without the Project Diva UMD. You really do only need the save file. Also once the game is loaded you can disconnect your PSP from the PS3 and it runs perfectly fine without it.
Need this in English for my shitty useless PS3
