I always hate Sankaku's "artist spotlights." You guys tend to pick the most generic artists instead of artists with interesting concepts and style. Most of the artists you feature produces art you can find in any run of the mill eroge. Way to pander to your virgin otaku audience instead of trying to expose them to something actually new and interesting.
I would agree with you, but quite often "interesting concepts and style" often equates to bizarre, plain weird, and "nobody likes it". You know, the kind of thing where people splatter paint on a canvas and call it art.
Now if it's still aesthetically pleasing and not weird, sure go ahead. I just don't want to be looking at Picasso-style hentai.
Not at all, there are a ton of Japanese artists whose skill, style, and subject matter greatly surpass those featured on Sankaku that are still within the range of what this audience would enjoy. Pixiv houses galleries of tons of artists a million times better than this rubbish if you know how to look.
Actually, a pictue doesn't have to show OBLIGATORY nudity for be a materpiece.

this artist is probably a few year off from becoming great.
specifically look at the bondage picture, the only part of the rope that is cutting into the skin is the parts by her ass, and the only way the others aren't would be is if she was supporting her own weight there.
i mean look at all of them, and imagine what they would be like in real life. allot of the things that would cut into skin aren't cutting in.

While I can agree that some of the artists that post their stuff on Pixiv ARE awesome, I fail to categorize the artists usually chosen by the people of this site as less than highly accomplished and enjoyable. Art is what one defines it as.
You know... The same as how some people define a painting made with shit and vomit a work of modern art and give it weird meanings like "decadent society".
