The face is a bit generic, but the rest is absolutely spectacular.

Really, when they will learn that the face is most important and they should put the most effort in it...
It's the artist's style. Shunya Yamashita has similar facial styles on all his characters. Realistically his style's a level of detail above traditional anime, so it makes sense, but he doesn't seem adaptable to shifting his style to emulate others. But that is rather tough to do. It's also a mark of a recognizable style as many artists in comic industries try to do. Artist followings are almost as prevalent as character followings, so the combo of the two can often cause a frenzy... like it is for me, dammit, I love his work!
