Nintendo apparently believes the use of large breasted blondes is the best way to emphasise the “3D” capabilities of the recently unveiled 3DS.
From a series of tweets by a Japanese gaming celebrity (making it comparatively credible):
I got some E3 ero information from Alex, a journalist friend of mine. Apparently the selection criteria for the booth babes at Nintendo’s 3DS press conference were based on the stance that “Big breasted girls = 3D stereoscopy,” and any pechapai girls were out.
[…]
He also said he heard a girl working at an agency got an urgent request for “Big Tits.”
Whether the report is true or not, it does not seem unlikely that something along these lines took place:
I’m disappointed in Nintendo. They’re promotions were almost never perfect, but they never seemed to use the “sex sells” angle before. Now it seems like they’re using an old method airlines used to have for hiring flight attendants.
Those blondes have big breasts?
I didn’t notice.
Big breasts have been used to sell cars, beers, bodywash & otherstuff, so why not gaming systems?
Big breasts = $$$!!!
Sigh~ Damn!
BIG Titties aside, when I looked at the display a wave of disappointment overwhelmed myself. This system; like all the others coming out ISN’T a 3D display!
I was amazed with that one DSi game because the player Without touching a thing could look around the scene. Imagine a pyramid set on its side, the top facing away from you. Now; using a softball as a head stand in with you to the side. Moving it around the view shifts! You can see the sides! That’s 3D~
For you (probably Everyone here) who’s seen the early ‘Star Trek the Next Generation’ will still remember that one kick ass scene where the Captain of the Enterprise talked to someone on the Main Screen. Usually we see it always head on~ but this one episode; the Captain walked toward the screen and we got to see him in profile talking to the “alien” in PROFILE!
That’s what I was hoping for!
If you can’t wrap your head around what I writing about. Try this one out:
While walking into a movie theater and you’re coming along the side. Glancing up at the screen you’ll notice some dude is talking. You see him at an angle looking up at him and can plainly see his right cheek. The scene jumps back and forth btw him and a woman but the shot doesn’t change on him. When you climb up to the middle of the room and giving quick glances at the screen, you will notice that you are now looking STRAIGHT at him!
I.E. If the movie was paused and you walked around the Entire theater. You would see his right – center – left part of his face depending on where you sat!
And with that camera at the top of the 3D Dual Screen, I was hoping nintendo had developed software that would track the face of the player so that he could do just That!
I didnt see a “wheres Equality Now now?” comment. So im posting it.
