I'm so glad I didn't start watching the second season. I shouldn't have wasted time for the first one either. Despite how much we want to deny it, a lot of people's favourite anime characters from shows such as this probably aren't as petit as we think. If they were drawn more realisticly they'd be a bit more podgy from all the cakes and junk they eat >>;; Let's face it, Anime is made to make people either look rediculously skinny or rediculously fat. There's rarely a middle ground.
What about Xebec (In form of Ladies VS Butlers, Kanokon...) girls? I mean: fatty legs, chubby body, wide hips, boobs that behave realistically instead of looking like balloons...

It is like that because that is how they were in the show, it bugged me when I saw them in the show in the swimsuits that were not proportioned right. The person just changed the color from blue to skin tone.
it doesn't look like that in the anime, i put both images side by side between the filter and the original, you can clearly see the difference. the guy did more than to just paint over the swimsuit.

it was actually her dress blowing in the wind. and besides, it was one of those beginning-of-chapter illustrations, which are in no way canon.
I'm sure it wasn't in the manga. We'd hear a lot of stories like "mangaka falls ill after fan criticisms", "mangaka beaten by outraged fans" and so on...
