To Aru Majutsu no Index Second Season Announced

A second season of A Certain Magical Index has been announced, much to the delight of fans awaiting the continuation of the adventures of Touma, Index and Misaka.
Actual dates and further details are yet to be revealed, though a simultaneously announced PSP Index game for the winter rather suggests a 2010 release is possible.
With the franchise already at 18 volumes for the main series of light novels alone, the news that the anime adaptation is to be further extended is less than surprising, not that fans seem any less pleased for all that.
The real question is perhaps how Index will compete now that the devastating moe onslaught of the Railgun cast has been fully unleashed.

Why are they making a second one when the first one dropped the plot after the first story arc in order to become mindless moeblob with lifeless characters?

Yes Kuroko is so good she would have her ass handed to her in a very gore way by Aiwaki.
ToAru is a way more that meet the eye but people want to see just moe things and fap to them than a actual story. Personally I want to see the fight vs God Right Seat.

Railgun have around 5 good episodes most are boobs, yuri or plain cute things wile I am not agaist moe, I am agaist useless abuse of it.
Problem with series like ToAru Majutsu no Index is they try to make people think which most people avoid when watching something they consider for fun, example the person below who say Accelerator shouldnt be able to use more force than a stomp on the floor, a Vector have direction and magnitud, if he can change the magnitude he can change the energy value... correct this goes against the law of energy conservation but is under his power set.
they should not skip the gore during Kuroko's fight with Awaki
As long as Index 2 no longer uses the director for Index 1, and includes Saten in some way, I'll be happy.
Would prefer the director for Railgun (Nagai Tatsuyuki of Toradora fame) to do Index 2, as he's obviously done a better job in adapting, as can be seen when even the original episodes in the second half of Railgun turned out to be more interesting than the novel-based Index 1 episodes.

Toradora was ubber rushed the last 3 volumes and skipped many important thoughts that made at least more beliable Ryuuji falling in love for Taiga. The anime didn't.

Yeah, I'm expecting that it'll be a while before they make another season of Railgun--probably at least another year, possibly two, if they do decide to make one at all. I personally didn't feel that the second half of the series was "shitty" or "filler", but I know a lot of other viewers did feel that way. There were things here and there that they could have made a little bit shorter, and the series itself might have been better off being a few episodes shorter, but I still enjoyed it.
