The latest example of the inexplicable lengths to which K-ON! otaku will go to for no particular reason arrives by way of Tsumugi’s bento, lovingly recreated with the same care as it was probably copied from a photograph.
It is not clear if he actually ate the product of his labours.
It only took hours for Mio fans to recreate this Mio fan club card as seen in the anime:

Hakoya really does make good quality bento containers. Not cheap, but very nice.

Fail. The eggplant should be horizontal,not vertical, the "stew" is not arranged at 90 degree angles, and he can't count grapes or strawberries.

lol, i'm one of them, bought the akg k701 cause of Mio. but at least i use them for the keyboard. so its not total waste of money, and btw the headphones are really good.

akg518 le's are more style than substance. But if you're not crazy into sound quality, hey. Still a lot better than most things you'll find in retail chains.
Wee, I have AKG K518 DJ. Quite the same as LE series. I were a Sennheiser fan but after I tried AKG, I've became a hypocrite. Such a good quality headphone for this money... If I buy a real professional headphone, it'll be AKG. For example, one of the Mk II series. YEARRH!

K701s cannot be driven well without a decent amp+source pushing them along. Anything less and you could easily save some money and buy a cheaper pair of easier to drive 'phones and be better off in terms of SQ.

Yes, I too eagerly await the downfall of things I don't watch and am not forced to deal with.
I am starting to question the taste in otaku nowadays. No offense to the K-ON fans with my offense.
BUT if Zange-chan's bento from Kannagi was replicated.....
I'm not sure what it is about k-on. Each episode seems increasingly pointless; however, I still find it fun to watch, in a brainless sort of way. It involves no effort, intellectual or emotional, I suppose. Great for simply relaxing.
Many will find that grows old after awhile - or that it was never young, perhaps. I don't think the fans will die entirely though. Look at Haruhi. Still has a devoted fanbase, and a lot of nonchalant watchers just looking for something to do; but it shed a lot of the casual fans.
It's a GRIND for your eyes, similar to Wow, etc.
K-On is only good when it can give you an adventure-like feeling in otherwise normal circumstances. Selling the guitar and the class trip were very good episodes with lots of good humour. But others, for example the seventh episode, were ''fun'' to watch in a brainless manner (as anon 13:59 said). The whole thing of a person in high-school having a fan-club...sounds just stupid, the senpai was a pointless character and watching a slideshow is as boring as hell if you don't have a sentimental attachment to it like the K-On club itself.
Must be said to be you to just randomly inject bullshit.
