An enterprising Gundam fanatic appears to have finally contrived a use for all the plastic sprues collected as a result of the hobby, and the results are quite uncanny…
Sprudam kits are packaged free with all current Gundam model kits.
I've heard of starship models for science-fiction TV shows that have been made out of similar clapping together of parts. Very enterprising and inventive of this guy.
Alright. I'm gonna guess the guro part is the fact that the model has no "skin" and the sprues could sort of be thought of as organs or organ packs. One of those.
As for "runners", I'm personally not familiar with that term. Among miniature hobbyists here in Canada (Ontario), I've only ever heard them referred to as sprue.
Recursive recycling FtW!!!
Damn! I Idolize that gunpla guy! xD
Holy shit. That must've taken time to make.
that is FUCKING EPIC
I love gundam model kits
Sprudam would have been a better title.

good luck moving it out of your room buddy.
Made in ?
Is it me or is that thing, like, flipping the viewer off?
that is fucking awesome
he took it to the next level
Dear god, it reminds me of the opening of the original gundam :P
I just built my first gundam today. High Grade ReZEL
oh my god....how many gundams did he buy?
Thats how the original borg cube was made for star trek. Big plywood box covered in model kit sprues and left overs.
Resistance is futile, you will be Char'ed

Being a complete modeling noob, I thought the 'Spurs' are called 'Runners'?
Gah o_o !
does that mean you can build some Char-custom plamo out of my remains ?
They're called both, depending on where you're from.
Ah I see, so I assume that 'spurs' is Japan and 'runners' is everywhere else? Or is it the other way around?
Woah, extremely informative! Thanks!
Nice.
It's "sprue", not "spur".
The term originates in metallurgy.

Found a good explanation of the terms, and now I understand "runner":
http://imoldmaking.com/category/runner-and-gate/
Sprue, runners, and gates are all roles of different parts involved in injection molding.
So I guess at some point people started calling the leftover material the same thing as the function it plays (ie. sprue and runners).
Now put glowing red light bulbs in it's head, turn the lights off in the room and invite your grandparents in, kekekekekeke...
Busy man...
Missing the V fin and looks like its not 100% complete.
Still pretty impressive that he could come up with the idea to build Gundam with all those sprues.
That's pretty impressive. It doubles for storage too!
I have to admit that otakus are the best in doing what they like.
is it just me or is it giving the ceiling the finger?
That goes for all the people. Otakus just don't want to do anything else.
When you're doing what you love, why would you?
Makes me wanna build my own... Damn, should've saved da spurs... >_>
Tachiagare~ Tachiagare~
TACHIAGAREEEEEE GGGGUUUNNNDDAAAAMMM~~~
Wouldn't it be...
Tachiagare~ Tachiagare~
Tachiagare~ GA-N-DA-MU~~~~
Like that?
Impressive indeead... And sad... And a tad bit freaky...
Though you have to give him credit for his ingenuity
You can hang clothes to dry on it. ^_^
Wow, to recycle unused plastic....
But he's still missing a few parts. Gotta buy more then ^^
He doesn't need more parts, look at the floor around it!
this is what they call innovation is it not?
That must be quite a lot of gunpla kits he went through. There is nothing guro about the thing though, its just like a bush cutting of a gundam.
Now he has no where to sleep.
Otaku do not sleep... we lurk...
more like a 3d wireframe
still with a little paper mache or fiberglass...
He has the frame. Now to install the parts as removable extensions.
Nothing Guro!? To me it looks like gundam suit is being eaten by some antimatter particles, after he got shot from super hi-tech antimatter weapon.
Wow it's like junk LEGO.
Yo dawg, I herd you like gunpla, so I put a gunpla in your gundam so you can plamo while you plamo.
You don't want to know.
what is guro?
Awesome Junk Gundam is plain AWESOME!!
He built it in his CAVE! With box-loads of SCRAP!
Whatever the hell it is, it looks awesome.
More like Gomidam to me.
OH BUT YOU DO.
oh, come now, don't make me wiki it.
