Unless you jailbreak this, iPad is another useless paper weight.
- You can't print. There are some shitty apps that allow minimal printing of photos - but thats about it. They won't even work most of the time since iPad has no driver.
- You can't do Word, Excel, or PowerPoint on it. Steave is a lying bastard. iWork can't do shit. Sure you can import your word into iPad, but all formatting/fonts etc are lost. And guess what, you can't save any of your edit as doc or ppt, xls file, its all shitty pdf.
- $30 bucks for iWork. Another $5 for comic reader. Another $50 for iTeleport etc. you get the picture. Unless you fucking jailbreak its a piece of junk that actually drain your wallet.
- No flash. How fucking can this be a browsing device if it can't do flash!? Andriod and Slate(if it will ever be here) will do flash. 40% of the web contain Flash. Steave provides us with some BS on his site about 2 weeks ago about why he doesn't like flash. Not open standard my ass... as if Apple was any better.
- Shitty for viewing video. In addition of not supporting any decent codec (you have to convert all your animu to the right format and resolution to sync in), it also have shitty screen size ratio.
- It pretty much has the same performance as netbook. But 2x more expensive. And no, you can't play Touhou on it either.
Even though its shit, it still sells like hotcake... I even got one ;_;. And yep, its useless. But this thing is so sexy..

I wonder how much that is going to affect otakus. They're not exposed to direct sunlight but still it seems to get rather hot in Japan, even indoors.
The decals are probably similar to those PVC stickers put on cars (itasha?) and on electronic goods with that annoying black piano finish. Depending on how the decals are made, they may actually outlast the electronics on the iPad.
I wonder if you could get replaceable backs for the iPad (or like those covers everyone seems to have for the Blackberry), and detail/carve out your patterns there. A different picture every day of the week would be so much win.

Oh there are definitely clear reasons as to why iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch lacks flash support but that has nothing to do with the UI. In fact, Apple prides themselves on the precision-control of touch-UI of iPad; they claim it is as precise as mouse support (hence the point of iPad). Lack of flash has nothing to do with such a thing - the problem lies in Apple's supposed forced exclusivity of Flash for Apple platforms only.
Don't delude yourself or others with your baseless comments; read up on Flash ban debate if you really want to know what's going on.
I personally don't care for Flash and tend to turn it off where possible, most of the time the applets are just stupid noisy ads or other useless whatsits, and Youtube vids can also be watched with any other media player if you have the appropriate plugins and playback is usually more smooth that way.
But I think that it should be my decision what gets to run on my device and what doesn't. Apple doesn't agree with that attitude apparently, so they will never get money.

The lack of Flash support has clear reasons, it's not the lack of a feature. Flash doesn't work well in touch interfaces, has miserable performance in anything other than Windows 32-bit, and moreover would ruin Apple's User Experience.
(Ex: how do you "hover" over something in an iPad?? Flash games are a no-go without mouse.)
