Angel Beats has made a splash in the latest Newtype character popularity rankings, knocking Nagato off the top spot with Yuri coming top and Tenshi scraping in at 10, a state of affairs some fans angrily decry as being the wrong way around.

Yuriippe’s (entirely coincidental) similarities to Haruhi seem not to have hindered her rise to popularity. On the male side, Otonashi comes in at 6.
