A figure of a Rei cosplayer. How quaint.

I still don't like this figurine, Rei looks too old here.

What? No comparisons between the two Reis from different companies?
I personally like this one better then the first one. The paint job seems cleaner and it doesn't have that tacky shininess to it that the other one had. The lack of shiny makes it look more like a plug suit and less like a retro latex space suit. The hair is more detailed/less poofy and I like that it's a lighter hue, it goes better with the mostly-white design. Plus it makes Rei look more like the ethereal and albino-like, which fits her better then sky blue. The hands look more detailed. The face is "truer" to Yamashita's style, more rounded then the other. The eyes, in particular, look much better minimalistic; the other one gave Rei spider lashes, which don't really fit her. Plus, this Rei looks a bit more calmer and stoic.
On the other hand, the first Rei figure did do some things better. Body-wise, the first figure was more accurate to Yamashita's voluptuous style. This Rei doesn't look as curvy as the first; her hips, in particular, look less rounded. Considering Yamashita LOVES hips, the lack of large and in charge hips is disappointing.
Not cold enough to be Rei.
