I usually agree with all reasons not to get an iPad, but Apple is Doing The Right Thing by not letting Adobe make flash for it.
Flash is being overused for video playback on the web, which has made it the #1 problem most people have when browsing, because flash sucks.
Apple recognized this threat to the web and is trying to kill it by forcing content providers to support HTML5 video if they want to reach iPad users.
If everything goes according to plan, Flash will crumble as a video player and the web will be freed from its proprietary bullshit and insufferable performance.
Then only flash games will be left.

One of my 4 cats, a 15 years old male became suddenly very interested 3 months ago of nature shows on TV. He watches TV hours each day, occasionally trying to catch flying birds or underwater filmed fish on the screen. He sits one foot from 40" screen and wait for me to choose one of his favorite channels.
I wonder how he sees things on the screen, sure he does not see it like humans do, but he is at least partially aware that things he sees are only images.
