IdolM@ster 2 “Due on Xbox 360 in 2011”

Leaked release information seems to confirm the existence of an Idolmaster sequel, set for release in early 2011 on the Xbox 360.
The information comes by way of a leaked Microsoft release schedule:
Statements from the official Idolmaster staff blog also hint at “something I can’t tell you about without the higher-ups being upset at me” due “next year.”
Considering the state of the Xbox 360 in Japan at this stage, and the lack of any overseas releases, just what it is which keeps the title loyal to the Xbox can only be guessed at, but given the dedication of Idolmaster fans this seems unlikely to be a problem.

I would have thought Microsoft would be the one to enforce region lock and make you order a Japan X-box to inflate their sales there.
Fuck man!!!...there goes my hope of getting a new SP version with Takane,Hibiki and Miki...damn fagbox.
This may be the last year for new 360 games. I suspect we may be seeing the 3rd xbox in fall 2011.
Most every major title is exhausted and technology has advanced to the point they need to declare final victory against PS3 this gen in sales and start the new gen and start racking up sales.
I'm very glad to see another imas release coming to the 360. Now can we PLEASE get a subtitled release Namco Bandai? Or at least let another company like NIS or Aksys subtitle it.
I salute the staff and their policies.
Good, hard lesson from the 90s "Vaporware" factories; "Time spent talking about a game is time taken away from making the game..."
But, yeah, this is one game I'd LOVE to see outside Japan. Don't know if they'd re-do the audio or just use subtitles though.
I take for granted, politely, that we've all seen many videos of them on YouTube... It seems, though this might be just audio switching there's 60s through 90s songs on them already.
Project Satellite? Hmmm...What's that?
Right now, I am playing Dragon Age:Awakenings all I seen is six boobs monster <.<.
Ok now which seiyuus do we want to voice on IM@S2?
1. Rie Kugimiya
2. Rie Tanaka
3. May'n
4. Shizuka Itou
5. Misato Fukuen
6. Saeko Chiba
7. Yui Horie
8. Eri Kitamura

I love you Makoto
In Japan the 360 is more like an Im@s jukebox than a game console, so might as well
360 exclusive? In Japan? Don't they care about profits?
The Idomaster fanbase is already on the 360, so it wouldn't sell much more if it were released on the PS3. On top of that, they'd have to spend time and money porting the game engine to the PS3, which wouldn't be worth the effort for little/no gain.
Count me in. I am eagerly waiting for this to happen.
I am so glad I own a Japanese 360. If this was announced for PS3, I would feel like I totally wasted my money.
Fuck more berserk delays....
FUCK
Ugh... More bad news for Berserk...
ah sooo true, damn it totally forgot about berserk to be honest...
I was thinking the exact same thing. Our only hope is if some...I don't know...NINJA...sneaks into the mangaka's apartment and slips a copy of the Western release of Neir into his Xbox 360. The "manliness" will surely turn him toward the sketch-board with renewed vigor!
I'm delighted to find so many berserk fans here!
Sadly, now that the story gets interesting again, another hiatus is threatening the completion of everyone's favorite dark fantasy manga...
I'll just fly to Japan to get it once it comes out
but sadly no 360...
Crap, this means Berserk will be on hiatus again.
Time to camp online sites to get the eventual pre-order of the limited edition version.
god damnit, http://www.tsukuru.info/tlwiki/index.php?title=Idolmaster_SP isn't even close to finish
I'm going to feel so left behind..
Hoping for another girl voiced by Kugimiya Rie~
Knowing Bandai-Namco, they will put a region lock on this one.
Here's to hoping for a simultaneous PS3 (region free) release.
It'd be an interesting move from Sony in Japan, that is, if they could buy the title off.
If they do, they'd be roughly 1/2 of the way through of fully destroying the presence of 360 in Japan...
And providing all the fans overseas the ability to purchase the game without needing a japanese 360.
Exactly!
Yep, but then again I don't think too many publisher don't put region locks on their games.
Anyone care to enlighten me to why possibly someone would want to LOCK their games from USERS who PAY and just want to PLAY. Isnt that what this game was MADE for? Does my logic fails me?
Simple, MONEY
Region locks force gamers to buy the console from that region, therefore they get an easy 300$ more for a game that may be popular
Anon 07:40
But if I buy console in US it's still Sony's money, so there is no reason to force me buy japanese PS3 for some game.
it's just japanese execs being retarded.
region locking on movies makes sense because movies, especially hollywood ones, are considered for worldwide audience, so movie studios will try to restrict as much as possible due to the huge cost difference and release schedule differences across different regions.
video games on the other hand does not have such wide audiences, especially weeaboo games from japan, given the language barrier and the nature of the games themselves.
3rd party locking their game forcing gamers to buy another console does not benefit 3rd parties themselves, so the only logical reason is that they are retarded and perhaps too conversative to change.
Most publishers don't region lock their titles. It's only the jap publishers and fox in my experience.
A storm is coming
Ikki is that you?
DID I SEE A HIGHLANDER GAME? OH SNAP
RELEASE THE FUCKING THING REGION FREE BANDAI NAMCO YOU FUCKING CUNTS FFFFF
XBox is going until 2011? Oh.
DAMN REGION BLOCKING!!!
Doesn't matter where it is! im@s fans will grab it anywhere.
But I read on a JPN forum that they guess that Sony's F.R.E.E. network is a big problem in putting im@s on the PS3. Xbox Live subscriptions really sold well when im@s came out, they want something like that to happen again perhaps.
There goes Berserk....
For fucks sake, just release it over here. Why must we be tortured so? :c
I can't wait for Idolmaster 1 to be released in the West.
They should just release it on the PS3 since they'll probably make much more then whatever MS is paying.
Definitely agree. With what they have on the PSP and the live event on the PS3, they know it'd sell...and it's region free, to boot. No more totured non-Japanese.
Xbox perverts have been shafted for ages with SP and DS, its about time we got a big im@s game that'll put all the lil ones to shame.
That's gonna piss off a lot of fans.
What? Even more delays in store for Berserk? I don't want to see Miura go off due to old age and moe.......
