The official Strike Witches shooting game planned for the Xbox 360, Strike Witches – Shirogane no Tsubasa (Silver Wings), has finally been detailed, with plenty of 3D pantsu well in evidence.
Superb graphics (assuming this were a PS2 game).
The actual shape of the game is an arcade mode with free character selection and a fully voiced story mode with set characters; in each case the witches operate in a team of 3, with a leader and two in support. Xbox Live features are mentioned, but it is not clear whether this is just a leader-board or includes actual coop.
Release is sometime in 2010, presumably to coincide with the anime in some fashion.
The limited edition (coming with the sukumizu Yoshika Nendoroid available nowhere else) comes in at a jaw-dropping ¥11,529 ($120+), the normal edition being some ¥7,000… Apparently all that money will be going on the seiyuu bill, as it certainly doesn’t seem to have gone on the graphics.
Those wishing for some immediate Strike Witchery can tide themselves over with the free doujin game already released.
Wait, what is with the title?
The 360 isn’t in any marketing danger (that would be the PS3).
The perspective should be from behind the girls not from the side 🙂
Sanya on my Xbox… if only I could read Japanese better I’d import the game and a Japanese system just for this. OR! I could buy the limited edition blue-ray Strike Witches box set for $300… so many choices
By the looks of it they’ve completely missed the mark. From what little I’ve seen of Strike Witches, a more appropriate game type would be, like shiroki said, Ace Combat style. And since they use guns, I’d say shooter controls would suit it just fine.
You just know they’re going to make a better version of this game for the PS3 though
