To Aru Kagaku no Railgun‘s diverse female cast is here in their cute or sexy swimsuit attires at the beach, doing what they do best: Misaka is enjoying herself in the sand, Kuroko is posing, skirt-lifting for Saten, and the other one is doing nothing worth mentioning.
The monitor bustingly huge version can be found here. Megami itself can be had here.
Uiharu is playing with a beach ball....dont be mean to Uiharu!
Kurorko's leg looks weird.
Uiharu looks better on one piece swimsuits.
Ruiko Saten: See skirt, will flip
Ah, Megami never fails.
I feel the same animosity from Artefact towards Uiharu than towards the other girl from Kannagi, what was her name again?
Tsugumi... poar readhead one.
Author: Leon. Not Artefact.
Ah misaka is just too much!!
This image is just asking for nude filter...
I concur, my good man.
Misaka + swimsuit + 42" screen? Hmmmmmmmm -.- yup....I'm a fan of that idea.
Kuroko is the best.
"and the other one is doing nothing worth mentioning."
^Lol.
Biribiri is the best in this pic but Saten-san is the best in the series.
It's also very strange how straight Kuroko is acting. I mean if Biribiri was playing in the sand in a bikini in front of me...
"Saten-san is the best in the series."
QFT <3
BiriBiri>Kuroko
KUROKO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BIRIBIRI
What is the purpose of artists making monitor-busting sized images.. someone viewing on their 42" screens?
Just curious.
I though 1920x1080 is the highest resolution avalible currently, thats the resolution of my tv that my laptop is plugged into. I don't thing you can get any better than that, also I did not by the tv for my laptop I only just recently realised I could plug my laptop into the tv via a HDMI cable but it makes such a big difference.
This image in its full size would be too small for my 30" 2560x1600 screen, actually.
oops, looks like i wasn't paying enough attention; the zoomed in version here is not the same size as the one linked to. my bad.
Some of us own poster printers. ;o
Just sayin'!
to make prints i guess...
illegal posters?
So that you can print it out as a full-wall mural and still have it look sharp as a cel, lol... or if you have a few terabytes of disks, but are afraid to have any movie files...
Because I have a screensize of 2560 x 1440 and get tired of squinting at the 1024x768 pictures..
Yeah, I'm thinking future-proofing. A lot of these make good wallpaper images, and monitor resolutions are getting higher and higher (for me: 640x480 in 1996, 1024x768 in 1999, and now 1680x1050 in 2010). I'll have to dump some of my wallpapers (or endure ever crappier looking upscales) as I move on to better monitors, but higher resolution stuff will last longer.
In the future when you can cover your walls in OLED screens, images like these will be the only ones suitable for that kind of size. Now THAT's wallpaper!
I have one- what of it? 42 inches baby!!!
cant beat 50
What's the use if it is 42 inches, if your resolution is still measly 1920x1080
It's for people who are obsessive about the original quality, I'm guessing.
And maybe edit it a bit(nude filter)?
i usually render images at a very large size because if you need to have a large image its better having a larger image and scale down then having to scale up a small image and lose quality.
To use as wallpaper and rub your face on Kuroko and Mikoto's DFC on your big ass screen
You need a lot more detail when printing an image than when watching it on a monitor. The density of the pixels just doesn't match up with the density of a printed paper. And then, since this isn't the original image, but a scan, whoever uploaded this image probably used a high density when scanning, maybe even higher than the printing one, so you end up with the huge resolution you're curious about.
'monitor-bursting' is relative to your monitor.
A lot of people are currently on 1680*1050 and 1920*1200 is becoming more and more popular. (2560*1600 resolution is too big a price jump).
Time to buy a new monitor perhaps? Prices for a FULL HD one (1920x1080) already start at 119 euro. $156,- for you Americans.. (although taxes in the US are much lower so probably around $130)
Did you even look at the picture on the channel? It's 5939x4090.
ATI Eyefinity 6 = 5760 x 2160
So yeah, it's getting close^^
doesnt most artist make them that bug to fit in details easier anyway.
Correct me if I'm mistaken.
The highest resolution available (for standard displays at least) is 2560x1600. Don't see them much bigger than 30 inches though. No idea why somebody would want something like that for entertainment uses, since games and hd video come in 1920x1200 at best so when looking at the screen from a short distance the details might get blurry.
If you're a graphic designer or don't mind paying 1500 bucks for a screen only to watch huge anime pics... Sure.
games can play at any resolution your monitor+GPU supports. modern warfare 2 on a 2560x1600 screen does just fine at full resolution, with a good GPU.
Fits my 21.6 inch fine.
Rule #1 of Railgun: Uiharu always needs to be wearing a skirt for Saten to flip.
Misaka's eyes seems weird.
Must be one of her clones... Nah, I can see frilly swimsuit and Gekota sand spade.
Even bikini sash won't escape from Saten's skirt flipping action.
Lol.. Other girl doing something not worth mentioning..
Leon haet Uiharu?
Saten is my waifu. Also because if she ever goes berserk on me, I dont have to worry about me getting electrocuted or have a needle stuck in my heart suddenly or... i dunno, keep my body temperature... constant. yeah. :|
lol... I just pictured Uiharu sitting there next to someone on a hot day looking really pissed off while they fan themselves wondering why they can't cool off...
Yes, someone else who understands! Saten on her period won't mean getting electrocuted to a crisp or having a needle through your penis or...getting a little warmer (if Uiharu tries hard enough).
