Once mighty queen of overbearing and obnoxious anime heroines Haruhi is now reduced to the bargain basement price of 300, down from ¥4,800.
The first DVD of the “new season,” with Bamboo Rhapsody, has been on sale for ¥300 at Sofmap:
Whilst this was a temporary special offer soon sold out at the hands of 2ch’s contingent of paupers, the DVD itself has for some time been selling for a paltry ¥999 on Amazon (they do ship internationally for those who can tolerate paying more in shipping than the cost of the disc itself).
Perhaps the real question is why the notorious Endless Eight DVDs are still selling at the equivalent of $25 an episode…

most of the time, older the anime get, cheaper it gets. Simple as that.
I wached all of them like a true fan but it was painfull atleast there clothes changed between episodes.

If it's the last one it's probably because they surprisingly can't milk anymore money out of it.. which seems strange considering how many people still purchase DBZ and Evangelion crap.

It'll maybe reach another five at a stretch but quite a lot has already been animated.
Shame they've done basically ALL the lighthearted and "filler"-ish chapters so every season will be super serious. I don't mind but people WILL whine.

The disgust I felt over that artsy bullshit still bugs me a plenty. It does show to me how much of a bunch of morons a lot of otakus are in their "devotion" to specific series to bear the foolish delights of buying episodes with some animation changes for a story that could of been done in THREE episodes! That's being generous b/c it can be done in ONE!
Japanese otakus are fools to buy this and buy this they did.. so them be fools aplenty.
