Hostess sousing sim Dream C Club now has some more than coincedentally similar eroge “tribute” action emerging in its wake in the form of “Cure Mate Club,” released recently.
The packaging is said to be an official parody mockup rather than the real thing (this likely would not be sold in a DVD case for starters), which probably lessens the blow somewhat, but the game also freely borrows/parodies a wide variety of scenes and designs from the game.

Some illustrative CG:
Cure Mate Club definitely has the advantage over Dream C Club in one crucial area:
The little one is said to be the (male) protagonist.
Whilst it would be a stretch to call this cheeky appropriation plagiarism, it is not far off what might be expected in an authorised and legally problematic doujin parody work either.
Japanese sources settle for saying it “respects” Dream C Club, a reasonable enough compromise description of its careful blend of homage, parody and commercial exploitation.
As the very respectful Mr Simmons might say:
This was simply meant as an homage to [a game we] respect.
[Cure Mate Club’s] inspirations reflect the fact that certain fundamental imagery is common to all [hostess wooing games]. This is the nature of the medium.
Transvestite shota male lead? that killed any excitement I might have felt for this game.
ironically it made me more intrested…

When the box says “For Japan Only”, does that mean that they will not export or that it will only work on a Japanese computer or console? (Many of you will probably view this as a stupid question, but I really would like to know).
Probably means only for retail in Japan, since you can just change your system locale to Japanese and play any Japanese program.
Play it..
not worth it…

Blech, the soft coloration for Cure Mate is so unappealing.
