This is of course not her actual marriage (which would probably spell the end of her career and possibly her husband as well) but a spot or romantic cosplay on her notorious vanity show “Hirano Aya-dake TV.”
Naturally seiyuu otaku are delighted.

She has successfully starred in a series {the melancholy] which has been successfully appreciated all over the world.

The Japanese have been obsessed with European-style fancy occasions (eg weddings) for over a century. A friend of mine was offered a job pretending to be a christian priest at a wedding- a white man running the proceedings completes the image.
It's got nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with the image in the mind of the bride...
I'm not sure but I've heard that she used to sing for the church choir.. Could be she's just doing something like the Hiiragi sister sometimes do in Lucky Star, i believe.

Agreed. Whenever I hear her talk in an interview, it always sounds like she's forcing herself to sound more childish. I have no problem with seiyuu who actually have high pitched voices but her's doesn't sound natural.
