damn I need to run IE for just a couple seconds now...
damn it turned out to be a couple minutes, and you can already see the image underneath once you enlarge it.
fuck IE its too damn slow; thats why I started using lolifox in the first place.
Funny that on pretty much every system I use, FF is slower to start and generally runs no faster or slower than IE in everyday usage.
Well, it's faster at things you don't do, ever...
To me, Firefox have been pretty good at freezing and crashing. And I don't know why I'm still using it.

I tried to install IE on my desktop... it was such a pain. It took restarting my computer no less than three times before it was happy. It had 4 toolbars already installed, and each one wanted to be my default search engine or homepage. It doesn't come with adblock, so there was shit everywhere on my pages. I had to decline the Yahoo toolbar like 20 times before it would shut up. I'm sure it's nice enough if you're a long time user, but trying to reinstall that shit was the worst computer experience since before I bought the desktop.
First I was like WAT, then I lol'd.

that pretty much sums up my experience. I can't get on with Opera much either, but wont use IE due to the whole ActiveX thing. That was a bloody stupid design decision.
Chrome's been running well since I got it (only a few days after its release). Flash support can still be a bit iffy (can hang for a bit on some youtube vids) but everything else works swell.
Chrome works just fine for me... Compared both IE and Chrome and they displayed all images similarly enough.
Exactly what I'm saying. I'm using Chrome and I didn't even need to highlight to see this crappy optical illusion. Guess having a stupid expensive gaming laptop might also have contributed to that too.
Also, having to tweak pictures in order to prove your point... doesn't really prove your point sorry.
Or you can get the IE tab add-on for firefox.
Unfortunately it's not yet compatible with Firefox 3.6. Also they weren't working for me in IE nor Chrome, so I opted for Photoshop.
For anyone who has Photoshop and/or can't get these to work, a quick and easy way to solve the filter:
1) New document, 2 pixels by 2 pixels
2) Pencil the top-left and bottom-right pixel a mid-level grey (black or white will lighten or darken the image, but still look okay)
3) Edit->Define Pattern->OK
4) Drag the image in from your non-IE browser
5) Layer->New Fill Layer->Pattern->OK->OK
