The artists of top anime studios Production IG, Gainax, Madhouse and Bones each provide an image comparing the most iconic characters of their studios – just which studio is victorious is doubtless in the eye of the beholder.
Shaft’s characters weren’t ready in time, and Gonzo ran out of money before starting. Kyoto Animation announced its participation but then delayed before supplying some old pictures of Haruhi.

The most grown-up for me is Production I.G. while my personal favorite is Bones
The BONES pic is the only one that doesn’t look like a thrown together collage with a bunch of prefabricated art.
What are you SMOKING!? Gainax CLEARLY blends better. I think someone needs glasses here. Here take mine, I already decided which one is made of win. And this is coming from a guy who dislikes Gainax products.
