This wonderful compilation of recent (mainly 2007 or newer) anime OPs and EDs that were so excellent in quality that “they will make your tear glands burst” has currently been the #1 ranked video in Nico’s anime category for some days now, and with good reason.

Same as distaste for remembering that Shenlong supposedly can bring each person back from the dead only once...

It's not as much as the OP or ED theme songs that make anyone cry, but a quick reminder of what the anime's story was about. Whenever I see any 'Key' anime op, I quickly begin to remember the tragic parts of it and It saddens me. Key really are good when It comes to drama, such tear-jerkers.. :<

the only time you're permitted to cry in manly anime gurren lagann is in the badass death scenes
aria, does bring a tear to my eye, only because it came when i yawned so hard. that anime just makes me sleepy.

Vermilion from Bokurano was what did it for me.

The games have much more of an impact for me though, although this could be because Kyou and Tomoyo just got a single episode each.
Waiting for a Little Busters! anime just the same though.
agreed. a single 24-minute episode is not enough to squeeze developments that took 3 hours in the game
