The second season of blockbuster moe-blob anime K-ON! has been cunningly renamed to K-ON!! in a subtle allusion to it being season number 2, whilst its air date has been confirmed.
The first broadcasts of the show will occur at the most godly hour of 01:25 on the 6th of April, a date which will presumably serve as a minor fillip to the tourist trade of whichever area gets the initial broadcast as otaku move there to catch it.

K-on! is popular because of the hole moe thing. if that was true then the DVD/BD and soundtrack would not have been so popular.
