Not being sarcastic or trolling but i still like asian better. Do you notice how many of those pics up there just rely on showing skin and just trying to be sexy? Asian cosplaying doesnt have to rely on that too much for it to be good cosplay.

though i must admit some of those pics up there are pretty good.

I'm for any cosplayer that fits a look for a certain character. That said, many of those cosplays were damn good, -however- I agree with the earlier comment that they rely a little TOO heavily on sex appeal. True that many of the japanese cosplays seem more reserved, however, I don't know where someone got the idea that -none- of them have the tits to pull off the sexy cosplays. There's galleries ON sancon disproving your comment. And as always with attention whores, we have the whole "bi/lesbian kiss" thing going on. A surefire face palm moment for me.

I, for one, like how Westerners beat the Japanese/asians in the tits and ass department. True, there are some Japanese cosplayers with tits and ass (like that chunky cattleya cosplayer) but the fullness of the body isn't the same...

Also, I haven't seen alot of dependence on photoshop with really good cosplay.

Honestly, most cosplay you see at cons here in the US are pretty reserved.

It's just no one wants to make galleries of reserved American cosplayers. Instead, you see just a ton of attention whores.

MOST? I can't believe what I am hearing. Ok, normally, I wouldn't be the one to say "3D pig is disgusting," but >50% of these "girls" (and I use the term very loosely... in this case it means more like "people who are slightly more feminine than masculine") made me wince just looking at them. I mean, yes, there are a good sized handful that are pretty hot, but the rest of them are the reason why I don't go to anime conventions.

Some of them look like fucking whores, some of them look creepy and ugly as shit, and a good few don't even seem to be cosplaying anything, just trying to wear as little clothing as possible.
