    I'm probably the only one who doesn't dig this, and one of the few who'll have thumbs down.

    But still. I prefer some nasty shooping over this...
    And to be a weeaboo (although I'm asian) in this situation: looks like the gap between Japanese cosplay will never be filled.

    The gap will never be filled because of the mindset you have, and force on it. "White ppl cosplaying anime characters is weeaboo, but asians cosplaying characters with red or blonde hair who would obviously be white if not for the fact they're in asian cartoons is okay." wtf Kinda mentality is that?

    Tip: Follow the line of her body, and you'll see where she warped and tightened. Considering how far the warp goes, I'd say her real self doesn't look anything like those photos.

    Actually, most of the shooping is minimal. But there's one where it's just TOO obvious. I'd say #5 is prolly the closest to her real self. Man, shooping isn't some miracle make fatties look thin ability. Guess she's just self-conscious...prolly due to idiots like the judgmental ones here.

    Geerie, you obviously haven't seen some of the quality breasts that I've seen on some Japanese/Asian women. They're fairly rare, but they are out there. Mind you, for arguments sake, I'm referencing ONLY women I've actually seen, and excluding AV stars (because Fuko alone defeats your comment if AV stars are included)

    Am I the only person who gets annoyed when asians try to say that the japanese culture is "asian's culture". If you're not japanese don't try to say it's your culture. That's like me (ukranian and greek) saying that people shouldn't do/like german stuff, or french stuff, any other white nation because they're ruining it. It's not my culture, I am not from there, I don't have their blood. Don't take credit for a nation you have no relation to. If you're not a 二世 or a native STFU. Also, I doubt Yoko cosplay is what the japanese think their culture is.

    Yes, it is purely a case of the grass always being greener on the other side, or of people ascribing unrealistic standards to the other.

    Most Japanese will talk of non-Japanese cosplay actually being totally superior to the Japanese stuff, and will marvel at how well put together their costumes are and how well their bodies and faces match the characters.

    In fact it is rather laughable at times seeing slim Japanese females attempting to portray curvaceous and clearly Caucasian characters...

    What is caucasian? I fear you Americans have your geography totally wrecked in this issue. Why not to say a person of "Western European" origin. Caucasians are Turkish-Indo-Arabic Asians, from area beetween Black Sea and Caspian Sea. Check the map.
    Blond haired & skinned ppl have never lived there.
    Besides, that Yoko depicted in Gainax anime has clearly Japanese features on her face.
    Don`t confuse all Asians looking the same. Good-looking Japanese girls have heir special look, not found elsewhere in Asia.

    Not that I'm the type to write either of them off for having tangible meat on them, but you've got to admit, their body types match up just fine. It's a shame her face ruins it (not that she's too ugly; her face is the wrong shape to be Yoko).
