Nippon Ichi’s Worst Game of 2010 nominee Last Rebellion has sold a staggering 3 thousand copies in Japan.
Excerpts from the January 25-31 top 50, selected new releases only:
1. Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie (DS – 909,000)
2. End of Eternity (PS3 – 125,800)
4. Ar Tonelico 3 (PS3 – 85,700)
8. End of Eternity (PS3 – 29,100)
11. MAG (PS3 – 14,800)
44. Last Rebellion (PS3 – 3,300)
Nippon Ichi is said to have developed the game exclusively for a western audience, suggesting it might harbour a rather unflatteringly low opinion of what is needed to secure sales in these markets.
holy s♥♥t ….. is that ……….. LUKE FON FABRE???????? OMG
Let’s face it Nippon Ichi were pretty stupid releasing it this week three new RPG’s were released this week on the PS3 Ar Tonelico III, End Of Eternity and Last Rebellion what did they expect exactly?
hmm
MAG made it to 11. . .
Would it kill Nippon Ichi to hire some halfway capable artists, or at least outsource their character designs and artwork to Korea?
This kind of graphic standards belongs to portable consoles or computers in the PC-98 ms-dos era. Even small visual novel companies have better artwork.
I feel for all you PS3 people who buy a modern console and still get games that look like .. this. What kind of company call itself Nippon Ichi and put out games like this? Is that the best Japan can do? It’s as though they aren’t even trying.
I think ‘nippon ichi quality’ is a little harsh as most NIS games are kick ass awesome titles.
Agreed, dude 😉
yeah, I think they just stepped into unfamiliar territories with this title, and REALLY screwed up.
other than that, I can’t wait for Disgaea 4 ouo
