A sequel to top virtual schoolgirl dating simulator Love Plus, imaginatively titled Love Plus+ and apparently for the DS, has been accidentally announced by a bungling Famitsu/Enterbrain.
The cover for next week’s edition of the rag was published on Enterbrain’s site, a fault quickly rectified, but not before gleeful Love Plus maniacs had noted the blunder.
A “complete” edition rather than a sequel seems likely.

The first hundred days aren't that hard to figure out with even minimal Japanese. Once you actually start a relationship with one of the girls and move into realtime mode, it gets a lot more difficult though.
I bet this is what happened when SAL9000 and his DS fucked without protection.

Just got Love Plus, its fun even that i cant read japanese. Hopefully there will be at least an english localisation some day...
At least the japanese Version is good for testing your spoken japanese.

It should be called ++Love, especially if it's going to be used repeatedly (which is going to be the case for its ronery users) - unless you need to evaluate the older version of Love before you move over to the next.

Wow. Unlike 3D wives who downgrades with time, 2D wives actually gets upgraded with newer and better versions. I'm so marrying my NDS. Hope that in the future they'll release a USB sex port or better yet a realistic sex doll dock for the Love Plus+++++ NDS.

Technically nothing is rendered in 3D. At the end of the day its a 2D image constantly being refreshed at a rate fast enough to trick the eye into perceiving a series of 1-Dimensional shapes as a 3-Dimensional object in a given space.
A basic principle taught to digital artist that create video games, movies, and various other works of a similar nature.
Technically, if it's modelled in 3D it's 3D the same way you say a photo is a 2D rendering of a 3D person. The difference is between physical and virtual.

I'd laugh if the "sequel" actually turns out to be a "virtual boyfriend" game targeted at fujoshi and with popular male seiyuu voicing their 'boyfriends'.
I mean Konami afterall does have a history of making games aimmed toward the female market such as "Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side" for PS2, and then ported/enhanced to DS as "Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side: 1st Love", "Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side: 2nd Kiss" for PS2, and then port/enhanced to DS as "Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side: 2nd Season". Even if Love Plus+ really turn out to be yet another game aimmed at male users, I still believe Konami would still make one aimmed at the female market in the future, since they clearly know there are money to be made there.
yeah but you have to take 1 thing in the equation, the fact that male otakus represent more than half of the market, and they would mostly buy the new loveplus+ so it is more profitable to make a sequel for male people instead for females.
I agree. However Konami did have quite good sales for the Girl's Side series games. If it really is a sequal for male users, I think it is simply too soon.
We gotta remember...not all male otaku got a bottomless wallet, and they spend their money of lots other things (such as ero-games...which are actually quite expensive). I'm not entirely sure if the current Love Plus owners are ready to move on yet, unless the new game is a big step forward in terms of new features.
Releasing a Love Plus for female market on the other hand, they can just use EXISTING techs and game design which they already got, and the extra costs would probably just be hiring additional seiyuu, scenario writing and a little bit of additional programming.
