I would say "Kugimiya Syndrome" sounds better than "Kugimiya Disease," though that would be 釘宮症候群, not 釘宮病...
actually 病 means disease...
Don't translate it word by word... the only reason we call it a "病" is that fans are too crazy, not they're ill.
It's actually translated from Japanese here. And again they have another word for "syndrome," but I digress...
translation should be on context not on the word itself. thats probably the reason that most subtitles are absurd at times.
