I thought the first series was pretty decent. Perhaps because I related to really well. I myself joined a band at school to be their guitarist without any prior knowledge of how to play the bloody thing - haha.
I went with the band to buy my first guitar and ended up failing many an exam because I'd spend all my time on the guitar. Even the procrastination stage of cleaning up my desk before revising only to then be distracted by my guitar fit my lifestyle perfectly.
I can't wait for the new series!

well i do blame some new anime for screwing the original works trying to put thoseligth-hearted semi-yuri moe situations, compare railgun and the sacred blacksmith wiith the mangas, well this is just my opinion as a type A otaku.

yes, sure, i blame them too for ruining the manga by putting in those out-of-place light-hearted contents. k-on! was made the way it must. if you read the manga, you'll understand. contrary to k-on!, railgun and blacksmith are actually non-slice-of-life stories that requires plot. that's why the contents we're talking about ruined the anime, cause they're simply not supposed to be there.
but when we think again clearly, k-on! indeed was a trigger to this stupid trend, but obviously not the one responsible for these content imitations. we should blame those fcuking imitators!

I'm not a fan of such a "shoe" (show) that will never fit me. I have my own brand of shoe reserved for kicking KyoAni's @$$ for continuing to make such a plotless, brain-numbing title.
Sometimes I believe K-On! was to blame for the Haruhi S2 failure. Remember how KyoAni "cancelled" Haruhi S2 back then? Suddenly K-On! came out of nowhere.

KyoAni is the animation studio. they do not hold authority on how the Haruhi franchise goes. the one's who canceled the S2 and the ones who pushed through with the Endless Eight fiasco would be the producers.
K-On! was an independent project produced by KyoAni itself, not just the animation studio. They have full authority over this show, not like Haruhi.

First season covered the first and second volumes with a good amount of KyoAni-quality original fillers
but this time they will be making a season based on only one book (volume 3), which means that most of the show will be original content... isn't it a bit early ? I thought they would at least wait for volume 4 to be out...
I can't wait to see how it will turn out. KyoAni-original is most of the time high quality. OVA was pretty enjoyable, and when you see Lucky Star and K-on, you can tell that KyoAni has the power to make them 150%/200% better than the original manga.
... that just makes me wonder why they aren't doing any original content in Haruhi, instead of serving us that endless shit.
