Final Fantasy XIII Tentacle Rape Manga Begs Forgiveness

Gaming rag Famitsu has issued an apology for publishing “inappropriate” depictions of Final Fantasy XIII in a manga it serialises, though many suspect that in fact Square Enix is upset that the rag failed to earn its advertising payments by being sufficiently worshipful to its properties.
The grovelling apology:
In the manga in question there were certain inappropriate depictions involving Final Fantasy XIII. To our readers and those affected we offer out apologies for the many inconveniences caused.
With Famitsu’s reputation for journalistic integrity in the face of lucrative advertising revenues, many understandably suspect that Square Enix is simply upset that a lowly gaming rag would dare to “parody” one of its games.
Amongst Japanese gaming media Square Enix also has a reputation for godly arrogance and being extremely “difficult” – one publication famously opted to mosaic out the company’s displays (in the distant background) in its photos of a gaming expo rather than risk possible issues.
The already supine Famitsu might well be on the receiving end of such treatment too.

Funny... Konami and Kojima don't seem to mind the parodies of Metal Gear... And they're famous too. I'd say Square Enix is managed by arrogant assholes...
Somehow, public apologies always end with

Actually, all the English VAs watched Metal Gear Awesome together some point while they did MGS4. They don't care and seem to enjoy the parodies.
That standard being what exactly? Not to mention I don't really see anything offensive about this comic that's that "inappropriate" sounds to me that Square Enix if they are being difficult are just being dicks, and famitsu is just being a totally pussy caving in to them.

Odds are they'll cave because of the high production value. Of course because it's multi-platform they'll probably forgive it a bit. Especially since they're rather pro-360 (Watch enough of their video review and you'll spot a few moments of PS3 negativity reinforcement and turning a blind eye to 360 problems when it comes to Multiplatforms)

Seeing as how Nintendo has taken over the console industry in Japan, it seems Famitsu should be apologizing to Nintendo instead for pairing up one of its best known franchises with the likes of Final Fantasy.
Which further proves the theories above that Squeenix are a bunch of dickwads.
