Legendary seiyuu Daisuke Gōri (郷里大輔) has died under circumstances police consider likely to be suicide. He was 57.
According to police and witnesses, he was found dead on his back on a Nakano Ward street in Tokyo at 3PM.
He had apparently slit his wrists. A knife was found underneath the body, and police also recovered a note; they are treating the death as a suicide.
Gōri, born 1952, was known for hundreds of voice acting roles in anime, movies and games, notably Gundam, Fist of the North Star, Kinniku Man and Dragonball Z. Some of his most recent roles were in One Piece, Doraemon and Slayers; he was active throughout 2009.

in my opinion, I actually don't care about slitting my own wrists, because I need to pee.
Suicide caused by depression is nothing short from running away from the problems one would had to face otherwise.
By far, the most common reason for suicide is "I couldn't take it anymore".
Suicide does not always equal cowardice, the correct choice always lies in between the two extremes, suicide is not always cowardice, sometimes it is the right choice and you my anonymous internet dweller surely cannot judge it justly to be right or wrong.

Suicide is far from cowardice, and further from courage. Suicide is simply an answer, to a problem that seems to have no means. We are all problem solvers. And sometimes we have intense problems. Death becomes a natural and alluring solution for someone locked into an emotional issue. Save your judgments for whatever God you believe in and if you don't, all the more of a reason to just respectfully wish R.I.P.

Also the note... that's just too convienent... and he died in the friggen street! Why would you do so in public? And at 3 PM no less! If he did it outside, he would've done it for attention. Since the case being he did it out in the open and no one saw him, he was probably killed and the note left beside him. =/
It was definitely a suicide - the later reports detailed the circumstances, with the body having been in a hard to see spot most people missed as they cycled past, near his home.
How suicide is perceived varies in different cultures. Some cultures think suicide is cowardly while others don't.
