One part of my original motivations for learning Japanese was to be able to watch anime uncensored and unaltered in any way (not butchered to HFIL by American rights-holders). Now I'm basically fluent, and I discover the anime televised in Japan is often itself censored.

Well first of all, any religious troops are going to explain to God why they were even looking up such things in the first place.
