Wow, most impressive!
If it wasn't tagged with the artist name, I would have tot it was by SquareEnix.
Awesomeness indeed.
China good at surrealism <3
Taiwan is NOT part of China.
it's definitely a refreshing break from all the moe art out there.
@k Taiwan ain't china.
Way too good to be from asian wasteland
It actually is. Taiwan's just being tsundere. Their official name is Taipei (PRC).
Even if they want to be a country, they have no natural resources or army. Impossible.
Also denied by UN twice.
@22:06 the place where the artists are from doesnt have anything to do with talent.
THIS is among the many reasons why we Taiwanese people are awesome.
I know you might think our land is part of China, but don't lump our people in with theirs so quickly.
Time to face the reality, it's simply impossible for the Taiwanese to go independent. You're gonna be chink for life, just get use to it and be happy with your selfs.
As if this even matters - but hey, given how much blatant nationalistic sentiments and racism exists on here, why not? Taiwan is NOT a part of the People's Republic of China. Nevertheless, Taiwanese people ARE Chinese. The difference exists on a political level, at which China and Taiwan are different entities.
The official name for Taiwan is the "Republic of China"; I'm assuming this is why the article is tagged "China". You Taiwanese elitists need a reality check and accept the fact that "you people" have the same blood running through your veins as "their people" in the mainland (not that 'any' people should be prosecuted for their ethnicity).
your speaking their language, so i don't know what the problem is.
The US speak English, so I don't know why you would want to be free from them back in the 18th Century? Hmmm actually I shouldn't assume that you are from US. But I make my point. Language isn't the only things that mattered.
Simply put there is no right answer right now. Time will probably resolve the issue before than, just try to keep it peaceful.
Taiwan can't survive by itself, it's better if China and Taiwan worked together.
now..waiting for someone to twist my logic.
@Mikorio
Taiwan's official name's the Republic of China. If Taiwan's got no national resources, the Japanese wouldn't have taken it in 1895. If Taiwan doesn't have an army, they wouldn't need to purchase all those military equipment from the States. Don't shit about things you don't know jack about.
Less political bullshit more revering the art. S/he indeed has a deft hand at this, even the men look good, despite being bishonen.
Actually I tagged it "China" because of the Chinese dress and themes in the art, not because of the Taiwan issue.
china/Taiwan, North/South Korea, East/West Germany, North/South Vietnam...
All got separated by cold war after WW2
Communism vs Democracy. The people share the same ancestors, culture and the language. Only real difference is the government party that represent them.
If you really don't like it, give us the real word to call you :p
People from Korean Peninsula and Southern Manchuria are call People of Han.. or Han Joak in the native language :p
Um... Mikorio, and this comes from a chinese guy who lives in Canada... (Not that this really matters as I'm still Anonymous and even with a name, I'm online, so by any rationale, I could just be bullshitting my way through.)
You do understand that in one possible view, one big reason as to why Taiwan is being denied it's national individuality is possibly due to the export of China?
There have been stories that China threatens to cut down on it's import/raise up it's price if the UN does give Taiwan it's independance.
Which, politically, would be a pretty powerful move considering how many countries are so dependant on mass produced chinese products at low cost from cheap labor.
No reasonable country leaders would accept a blow to their economy for the sake of a minor world player such as Taiwan that has little to offer when set aside while nevertheless capable of providing much when paired with the more willing chinese.
Unless I'm mistaken, in which I invite anyone to appropriately correct my mistake (as I much prefer knowing when I am wrong and learning why. Always more to learn in the world.)
they dont need to threaten anything. They can vetoe anything yo do with Taiwan at the UN whenever they want. They are part of the P5.
BTW the West accepts taiwan as an "independant" state but because of china´s veto power it will never be official.
Taiwan is extremely different from China and its that reason why we separate ourselves from China. Im half taiwanese an half American and was born and raised in Taipei Taiwan all my life. You can say that taiwan is part of China, but everything about Taiwan practically defies China on so many levels that its rediculous. We have our own currency, we are 100% democratic and we allow everything while China's Part communist part capitalist society rejects anything that would defy the government. Censorship in China separates China from Taiwan because taiwan doesn't have censorship.
I can go on and on and continue telling you how many ways Taiwan is not part of China and should be independent. Unfortnatly, us being on an island doesn't help us. But dont start argueing about this subject to a "China" person or a Taiwan Person, because no matter how strong you are, you will get yo ass beat. We are obssessed with out politics and believe me on that.
Awesome artwork, especially the colours. And he's gotten quite better with time.
One thing though, the 7th pic, http://img3.sankakustatic.com/wp-content/gallery/cache/58706__468x_lin-i-chen-eat-007.jpg
is blatantly taken from Vampire Knight Ending.
It's obvious the artist copied poses/used models but that doesn't change the fact that the art is absolutely outstanding.
In before ZOMG TRACED
ZOMG TRACED!!1!!!1!1
Some of the images looks so real. He's that good.
I wonder where this guy draws his inspiration from. You really don't see art of this caliber everyday

That hand at the end of the stick is something the teachers use to discipline their students, in case you were wondering.
It's a leather hand at the end of a plastic stick.
