Well If I remember right, they sure didn't censor out Premula's little loli boobies in Shuffle(or anything else in that series).

Love the commercial. They did something right, now if the dubbing wasn't so cringe worthy.
I kind of like the old style PV they make for it... but still the dub is not an option for me ... and most of the ppl who would watch SW.
I really doubt the dub for this will be good. Americans are just bad at doing moe voices. I'm sure that fans of funimation will still buy these dvds and praise the dub just to spite fans of the original.
That sounds great!... if only Gonzo(RIP) could of added a little something like STORY to cap it off, that show would of been a contender.

I enjoy this series but it's pretty much fluff. Its disappointing that this gets a USA release while we still have not seen a release of Ef-a tale of memories here.
Military theme with loli and pantyshots is bound to sell more (I mean it's the US, Strike Witches have all the elements people there love, aka military plus something that implies sex) than ef, unfortunate though that is cause memories was pretty good.
Part of the problem with dubs is that they try to emulate they cutesy sounds of Japanese voices. While it doesn't irritate me in Japanese (because I don't speak a goddammed drop of moonspeak), hearing it in English sounds unnatural and grates the nerves.
Well at least it's Funimation not the crap 4Kids.

Well I will say it's not the best of dubs but it isn' the worst by far. I wonder if they will have the japanese subtitled versions with the dubbed versions like some series do. Also I can get to their site fine and I don't live in Gods Chosen Land (Which I assume you mean america), but it loads perfectly for me.
Well I checked if it does have the japanese with english subtitles on it also and it does, so this box set is going on my list to buy.

Funimation chose a pretty good cast, IMO. Luci Christian as Erica, Cherami Leigh as Yoshika, Stephanie Sheh as Gertrude, Caitlin Glass as Eila and Kira Vincent-Davis as Mio.
It might not be as good as the original, but the English version might not be as bad. We shall see.
Oh...War on Pants!! now the series makes sense to me.

So I'm guessing that you've never seen Strike Witches, because it is nothing like Code Geass.
Code Geass is about a pompous prince who gets the ability to mind fuck people into doin what he wants, then takes over the world and gets himself killed to create a better place for his crippled sister.
While Strike Witches is about aliens of some kind destroying a large portion of the planet during the time when WWII should have been goin on, and the military using magical girls to fight them off.
If I had to compare Strike Witches to anything it'd probably be Sky Girls, since they shared the premise of alien type things fucking up earth and young girls with mecha fightin em off.
I would have liked to hear more of the voices v..v to see if its a decent english dub..
