Too bad being seiyuu doesn't pay much. If she puts out songs for those series then that would be a different story. Either way, I'm sure she gets enough money from her tv show, modeling career, and singing career.
Sad but true, women in Japan often have to work in 3 jobs to get the things going.
I'm pretty sure the voice acting roles are not paying her much. Seiyuu are paid a fixed sum for every episode they do, and it's usually no more than 3000-5000 yen each time. If the show is 26 eps and she works on every single one, it's ~$13,000USD in 6 months. Quite an average salary, and even worse if you live in Tokyo where things cost so much. I'm sure the TV/singing/modeling helps out though.

Wasn`t this story aired in her TV Series Aya Hirano Only in last summer already? In that she tries several different jobs she hasn`t done before. In one show she was assistant to mangaka.
Yes this is from her monthly TV show, I believe this is from the 1st episode. If your interested there are 10 episodes out so far.
If I'm not mistaken she works as an assistant to the mangaka Takashi Shiina.
Yup, that's from the first Episode.
But I don't get why she got her own TV show. The episodes aren't THAT entertaining (except the one where she works at a kindergarten) and 1 hour/episode is too long for "hey, I have no idea what I'm doing, so I'll just stand around, waiting for instructions!"
